Dendrocalamus semiscandens

Height 8-18 m , diameter 8-15 cm , internode 20-30 cm . erect or slant , its top drooping , sometimes scandent , young culm covered with persistent siliver tomenta ; a ring of think white tomenta around and below joint ; one main branch , almlst of same thickness as that of culm , forming a thick clump taking the place of the main stem ; sheath caducous , both sides of its top having medium sharo horns , its back having tomenta and small brown setae ; sheath ligule 1-2 mm high , truncate , margin almost entire ; sheath blade erect , triangular ; leaves ovally lanceolate , 25-40 cm long , 5-7 cm wide . shoot delicious .
