Arbuscular bamboo . diameter 8-13 mm , internode 8-20 cm . culm pruinose , glabrous ; sheath annulus convex , initially covered with small brown adnate setae ; culm annulus flat ; sheath persistent , young sheath yellowish to green , acute triangular , longer than internode , its back having brown setae ; sheath auricles absent , 4-6 cilia erect ; sheath ligule truncate , about 1 mm high , glabrous ; sheath blade erect , linearly lanceolate , often involute ; 15-18 branches at each node , slender , extending upward ; leaves narrow lanceolate 5-10 cm long , 0.4 -0.85 cm wide . A ornamental hardy Fargesia species collecting from Himalaya high mountain area. Shoot period: Sep.--Oct.
