Height 3-5m,diameter 1-2cm,Internodes 15-18cm.Culm initially
heavily pruinose, glabrous or sometimes having small grayish yellow setae,
sheath annulus convex, clum annulus flat, clum bud long
ovate,abnate;5-14branches at each node sheath persistent. long triangular,
much longer than the internode, sheath auricles absent sheath ligule
truncate, sheath blade turned outside down ;leaves
lanceolate,papyraceous,6-14cm long,0.6-1.3cm wide, with visible transverse
veinlets, Shoot period August.
Distribution: Yuannan, growing in forest in low wet
valley or on slopes, at an elevation of 1600-3000m
